Many people applying for adjustment of status must submit a medical exam completed by a civil surgeon who is designated by USCIS. The results of the exam are submitted using Form I-693.

If the civil surgeon signs the Form I-693 on May 31, 2023 or later, the March 6, 2023 edition of the Form must be used. If the I-693 was signed by the civil surgeon between October 5, 2022, and May 30, 2023, you may submit either the 7/9/22 or 3/9/23 edition. The edition date is on the bottom of the form.

Also, while the civil surgeon will provide you with the results in a sealed envelope, they are also required to give you a copy of the exam.
